The global learning crisis according to the World Bank

In rural India, nearly three-quarters of third graders cannot complete a two- digit deduction, such as 46 minus 17, and in fifth grade half of them still cannot. While states have significantly increased access to education, going to school is not the same as learning.

The latest World Bank research shows that the productivity of 56 percent of the world’s children will be less than half of what it could be if they enjoyed complete education and full health. The article offers different solutions, and directives for these problems.
