World Teachers’ Day
World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate all teachers around the globe. It is a day to celebrate how teachers are transforming education but also to reflect on the support they need to fully deploy their talent and vocation, and to rethink the way ahead for the profession globally.
Behind the name Inlcusion4Schools is the idea of social cohesion and integration in a dual sense: supporting inclusive pedagogy within public education and supporting segregated schools to create a more cohesive educational system, which would not be possible without teachers.
World Teachers’ Day 2022 at UNESCO Headquarters will include the awarding ceremony of the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development as well as a series of other in-person and on-line events:
