SCHOOL DROPOUT OF ROMA IN ROMANIA


This research analyzes the causes of school dropout among young Roma, focusing on factors like age, culture, poverty, discrimination, and infrastructure. It includes interviews with successful young Roma at postgraduate levels for comparative analysis. Romania has the largest Roma minority in Europe, estimated between 1.85 to 2.5 million people. Education is crucial for their social inclusion, but challenges persist, including discrimination. Strategic investment in Roma development and inclusion is necessary for social and economic progress.
